EATING DOGS AND CATS

Yulin_animalsasia.jpg

SaveKoreanDogs Org has fought against the dog meat trade in South Korea for many long years, and has saved thousands of dogs from farms and slaughterhouses, all adopted in the USA by wonderful families.

Until the law banning this trade was passed in January 2024, South Korea was the only country in the world that raised dogs LEGALLY on massive farms, more than 2 million dogs bred specifically for the purpose of being eaten. Forced to live in cramped cages, from the day they were born until the day they died.

An atrocious death, under unspeakable torture (culture dictated that the more the dog suffered, the better its meat was). Displayed, sold and slaughtered in markets in front of other dogs terrified of seeing their fellow sufferers agonize due to unheard-of violence.

Since everything was done legally (except for cases where hygiene standards were not respected), this trade was a real business, a huge profit, high demand and high supply.

We will never stop thanking President Yoon and his wife for having passed the law that is putting an end to this massacre of thousands and thousands of dogs.

IF SOUTH KOREA HAS MANAGED TO STOP THIS VIOLENT TRADE IN MAN'S BEST FRIEND, WHICH FOR KOREANS WAS A HUGE REGULATED BUSINESS, ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD CAN DO IT!!!
